Michelle Di Fabio – making a head start at boards and network building

Michelle has recently completed a Bachelor of Commerce/ Bachelor of Information Systems at The University of Melbourne and is an Accountant in Private Client Services at PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Previous work experience includes Accountant at SimsPartners Insolvency, nabCapital and Tutor at the University of Melbourne.

In 2005, Michelle was President of the Financial Management Association of Australia (FMAA) at The University of Melbourne, a national commerce student association and was a Director of FMAA Australia. An initiative included the establishment of the FMAA 'Be Inspired' Women's Forum, an event that gives students the opportunity to hear from role model women in the community across different sectors, providing inspiration to fulfill their goals.

In 2006, Michelle completed her final semester abroad at the Manchester Business School, UK. Whilst studying in Manchester, she undertook the Manchester Leadership Program, and worked with organizations including Oxfam UK, Manchester Raise and Give, Barnardo's UK and The Tyndall Centre for Sustainability (The University of Manchester).

Michelle enjoys a balance between work, sport and the community and plays tennis for the Melbourne University Tennis Club. She previously volunteered in the IT division at the 2006 Commonwealth Games. She is currently the Secretary of the Royal Children's Hospital Pied Pipers. She is also a committee member of Black and White Coterie, of the Collingwood Football Club where she is one of the youngest members and will get exposure to different networks.
