Leeanne Bond
Leeanne Bond BE (Chem) FIEAust RPEQ GAICD is a chemical engineer with extensive experience in business management, projects, design and proposals for a number of international engineering and project management organisations on projects across the hydrocarbons, minerals processing, infrastructure, water and power industry sectors.
She consults to industry through her company Breakthrough Energy Pty Ltd. Leeanne is also a company director and board member of public sector and professional membership organisations.
Her directorships include:
- Liquified Natural Gas Limited (ASX listed)
- Queensland Bulk Water Supply Authority
- South East Queensland Water Corporation Limited (SEQWater),
- Tarong Energy Corporation (a government owned electricity generator)
- Queensland Government Smart Women Smart State Taskforce
Leeanne has previously served as Chairperson of the Brisbane Water Advisory Board for the Brisbane City Council, Deputy Chairperson of the Board of Professional Engineers in Queensland. She was President of Engineers Australia (Queensland Division) in 2002.
At the World Congress of Chemical Engineering, Melbourne, 2000, Leeanne was awarded the Shedden Uhde Medal for services to the profession of Chemical Engineering. In Canberra in November 2007, Leeanne was named Professional Engineer of the Year by Engineers Australia.
Leeanne is looking to extend her board roles beyond Queensland and onto listed companies.
