Women's Voices workforce participation and taxation project
October 2011
Australia's tax system makes women's decisions about their workforce participation unnecessarily complex. This is the finding from the Women's Voices Report released by the Equality Rights Alliance, Economic Security for Women and the National Foundation for Australian Women.
The Women’s Voices Report was based on consultations with Australian women covering issues such as barriers to pay equity, childcare, superannuation, tax rates, and workforce participation. Consultations were conducted across Australia by The National Foundation of Australian Women. Read the background paper
The consultations were followed up with a technical analysis of the issues raised by women, resulting in a series of recommendations. Read the final report
