Where to Now? 4th Women on Boards Conference 2013

8 - 10 May 2013 | Sydney NSW Australia

The theme of the 4th conference has been chosen to keep diversity on the boardroom agenda and explore the future of work. In 2012 there is a sense of ‘moving on’ from the gender diversity discussion and some people, including those at the top of companies, are starting to disengage from the topic, possibly believing it is being addressed.

At Women on Boards (WOB) we are concerned that the important work of ‘getting women in the pipeline’ will be used to mask lack of action in the boardroom, rather than as a complementary activity.

Background

Women on Boards inaugurated the conference series in May 2008 to progress discussion and action on the issue of improving gender diversity on Australian boards. The 2nd Conference – Time for Action – held in September 2009, was a catalyst in moving the issue of gender diversity on boards and in leadership roles into the mainstream media and business agendas.

Delegates

The conference draws together men and women from all professional backgrounds and career levels, including human resource managers, senior executives and directors. It provides an unparalleled networking opportunity with peers and leaders throughout the duration of the conference. It is anticipated that between 350 and 500 delegates will attend the conference.
