  • About Women on Boards

Structure

Women on Boards grew from the volunteer efforts of directors of the National Foundation for Australian Women, the Foundation for Australian Agricultural Women and a number of other women's organisations and support from the Commonwealth Office for Women under their Development Grants Programs.

In 2006 Women on Boards became an entity in its own right (WOB Pty Ltd) with a board and shareholders. This has enabled WOB to improve its capacity to influence public, private, NFP and Government boards to address the continuing shortfall of women being appointed to decision-making roles.

The goals of Women on Boards remain the same and the company continues to support the broader women's movement and its associated social policy agenda.
